5-Fold Approach

We seek to introduce collegians to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

We plan to do this through…

 1. Prayer… Communication with God.
2. Worship… Expressions of thanks through word,
                     music, and service.
3. Fellowship… Community of students developing
                        quality relationships.
4. Discipleship… Learning about Jesus and following
                           His example.
5. Mission… Living a life that reflects our
                   relationship with God in what
                   we say and do.

While locally reaching out across all denominations on the UW campus, University Christian Fellowship (UCF) is affiliated nationally and internationally with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, which is organized on 300 campuses in the U.S. alone, involving over 25,000 students in 2017.

In the Bible, the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20,

"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

Chi Alpha finds its identity in this passage. We believe that God longs to have each and every person be in relationship with Him, and the way that re-connection happens is through the representation of his people. Each of us who takes on the identity of “Christian” becomes Christ’s ambassador — or christou apostoloi in Greek, which has been shorten to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha” or XA. The name is a constant reminder that each of us has a real part to play in this world. We each can carry Him within us to bring Him closer to the people around us.

 We
welcome
all believers
in Jesus Christ and also
to those in varying stages of
the search in their spiritual journey.
In-other-words, everyone is welcome!
Come explore and
grow with us.
